Common Buttons

RCI Web Applications have a lot of things to 'click' and we have marked many of them with some common icons to help you identify what the button you are clicking will do.
*Some pages are still in transition and may have older buttons.

Add Item Button: Generally clciking a button with the green plus on it will start a new item within the program. For example clicking  within an application would start the process to add a comment to the application.

Back / Cancel Button: This button will return you to the last page you were on. It is suggested that you use this button whenever possible as some of the dynamic elements can cause page timeouts. When going back nothing is saved that you may have done on the page so this will also cancel changes you may have made to an existing record.

Base Button: Sometimes there is no icon to indicate what the button might do. This is called a base button and is used when no icon is needed. The text of the button should help to identify its use.

Delete Button: This button denotes the delete function of records and should be used with discresion. Most things that can be deleted will have you confirm that you mean to delete them but please be sure when using this.

Down Button: Used in lists to move stuff up or down in the order.

Edit Button: When a record can be edited this button will appear next to it in a list.

Save / Update Button: After creating a new record or when editing a record you will want to be sure to use this button to commit your changes to the database.
